Born in Ashiya, Hyogo prefecture, Japan.
Graduated from the Design Course, Faculty of Design, Kyoto Seika University. Worked as a designer at an advertising production. After 10 years of working there, became a freelance designer. Gradually began to indulge myself in watch making.
Held my first solo show at a gallery in Sakai Musashino, Tokyo. Started working as an artist.
April 2002 - 2003
At my second time exhibiting at “Creative Watch Exhibition” held at Gallery YUU, I received many compliments, numbers of offers, and decided to relocate to Tokyo in order to seriously focus on my career. Held many solo shows at galleries within the Tokyo Metropolitan area. Participated in many events at department stores.
Arranged and held my first event abroad, “Three Japanese People Show” at a gallery ARTE GIAPPONE in Milan, Italy. Began to plan and hold group shows and shows for artists as temporary exhibitions to create opportunities to present my work.
My work was accepted for this year’s Asahi Modern Craft Exhibition.
Relocated back to Osaka, and participated in management of a one-of-a-kind handmade accessory shop, Flora & Fauni on the first floor in Takashimaya Osaka Store. Launched my watch brand “Lamazion”.
Founded “Kobe Creative Watch Classroom”, a space equipped with both studio and classroom, in Mikage, Kobe.
Closed the shop Flora & Fauni at Takashimaya Osaka Store due to preparation for an opening of the next shop.
Established Lamazion Co., Ltd.
Opened Galerie Le Ton Du Temps, Lamazion’s directly operated shop, at Section “SOUQ” on the 10th floor of Hankyu Flagship Store in Umeda district, Osaka.
