The one and only… I wish to create something as special as an encounter that would feel as if it's your destiny.

“I want to make something that will live on forever!”… The feeling grew stronger each day, and I, then a graphic designer, turned a watch creator in 2001.
Who will be wearing this watch? … I work on each piece thinking of the future owner. I believe that these thoughts nurture and bring out the exquisite yet bold one-of-a-kind uniqueness in my watches.

I want to make the one that will become part of your life…

I want to make the one that will become part of your life…

I want to make the one that will become part of your life…

When my watch is completed, or from the moment it gets put on, its path begins with the owner. If so, it should be something that would be suitable for marking that person's life, and continue to bring the owner happiness… That is what I want to realize…
These thoughts go around in my mind as I assemble the precision components based on my design.

A watch movement doesn't make up a watch.

A watch movement doesn't make up a watch.

A watch movement doesn't make up a watch.

At first, watch making was just something to do in my spare time. But when it came to my own original one that would actually function, it was a very difficult task. How to make a movement was not even a question, but the hands?, case?, winding crown?... Then followed by the techniques, tools, parts and etc., I found myself indulging deeper into the world of creating watches.
Eventually after repeating trial and error so many times until I was satisfied with the quality myself, I arrived at a point where the number of certain parts I was ordering from a manufacturer had gone way beyond what they would normally supply an individual customer.

Not an art object…. But for practical use in everyday life.

A watch being a mass of precision tools, it would stop functioning or go out of order by misplacing any part even by a tenth of a millimeter. To wear something around your wrist can be as violent as to swing it, even if the motion is merely your daily unintentional behavior and not necessarily coming from playing an active sport. A watch case that withstands such violent movement requires quite a high rigidity. In order to ensure the rigidness, accurate processing and lathe techniques were absolutely necessary. Without hesitation, I chose to study and acquire.

Waterproofing performance was the most important and difficult problem.

Waterproofing performance was the most important and difficult problem.

In Japan where it's typically rainy and humid, most places inside are air-conditioned. The sudden change of temperature could cause a glass of a non-water resistant watch to get foggy. Despite the environment being not particularly suitable for precision machinery such as a movement, we have overcome water resistance problems so as for you to use my original one-of-a-kind watches without any difficulty.(From everyday use up to 10bar, depending on the product.)

You complete the watch for the first time by wearing it…

Another important part of a watch, bands. However thoughtfully the main part is put together, a wrong choice of straps could easily ruin the look of the whole piece. I paid great attention to the belt fabrication so that not only would they fit around your wrist comfortably, but also enhance the face.
How do I balance originality with high level of quality? How comfortably does the watch fit? And to acquire leather craft techniques, needless to say which I did… there were many elements to consider, a lot of stages to overcome and it all seemed like a never-ending list. I solved them one at a time, made an even better watch each time, and that is how I brought my watches to the level of my satisfaction.

Challenging infinite creativity and evolution.

Challenging infinite creativity and evolution.

Challenging infinite creativity and evolution.

Through watch making, I met many people and learned so much. Each and every person or piece of knowledge makes my creativity grow bigger and stronger than it was before.
I work with ideas by taking in all those experiences and applying my creativity to the fullest, then I make a case drawing, and go on to complete the one and only piece for you. There is an amazing sense of achievement and fulfillment the moment I finish making one. I get encouraged to work even harder when I hand over the finished creation to a client and see a pleasant look on the person's face.
I strongly believe that these feelings will stay with me and keep me go on challenging myself to evolve without ever stopping.
